Biography
Dr. Catherine Mross joined the Department of Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience at Wexler University in 2011. She received her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology from the University of North Georgia in 2009 and completed a two-year postdoctoral appointment at the Wexler University School of Medicine before transitioning to a faculty role in the department.
Dr. Mross's research focuses on the development and validation of behavioral assessment instruments for use with populations experiencing chronic sleep disruption. Her current project, now in its second year, involves a multi-site validation study of a composite neurobehavioral screening battery intended for use in outpatient sleep clinic settings.
Prior to her focus on assessment instrument design, Dr. Mross completed work on behavioral pattern formation in patients with treatment-resistant insomnia. That line of research informed several of the instrument components currently under validation.
